My January project list seemed to do the trick and this first month of the year has been full of creativity and some finished projects.
Knitting - My tea-leaves cardi is slowly growing. After an initial blip where I ended up with twice the number of stitches than I needed, I have been much more careful in my pattern reading and things are moving on. I passed the sleeve separation stage earlier this week and am happy with the progress it has made. (Trying hard not think about how far I would be if I hadn't had to frog two whole skeins worth of knitting!)
I also have to admit to stepping away from my list and signing up for the Follow Your Arrow mystery KAL but so far the clues have been fairly managable and haven't encroached too much on tea-leaves time (plus I think it was actually just the change I needed from time to time...all that peace fleece stocking stitch get rather boring after a while!)
Oh and I also cast on a pair of socks... (insert guilty face here!)
Crochet - I didn't feel like doing any and so I didn't!
Sewing - Two pairs of PJ's all completed and in use...(mine are the rather lovely soft velvet pink pair above)
Easy/On the go - Sashiko all finished and ready to turn into...maybe a wrap for my double points?
Long -term - Still very long term, as no quilting took place at all...I blame my machine, which is waiting for a service but as it doesn't have legs I guess it may be my fault really?
Wildcard - Pyrography tried, spoons decorated, a tiny house drawing done...may try leather next?
Now for February!
My plans are to... #Knit some more of my Tea-leaves cardi.
#Crochet with my Natural dye studio yarn.
#Sew a "Susanne" tunic, pattern from here .
#Easy/on the go...Finish my socks.
#Long term project is still those quilt-as-you-go quilts.
and finally this months #Wildcard project is to start the needle holder kit I bought from The Running Chicken at last years Festival of Quilts.
This planning and listing seems to be working well for me at the moment...a bit of inspiration and planning and a feeling of satisfaction at getting some WIPs finished by the end of the month...let's see how I do in February...
