Well, here I am three years later and boy have things changed since I started this space. I seem to have stepped onto a path I didn't expect to find, which is taking me in a direction I never expected to go. My days back then were filled with crafting, creativity and dreams of working from home doing the things I loved. Now my days are filled with working away from home, only crafting in my breaks, finding creative ways to help the children I work with and loving the things I am doing...
As I mentioned in my last post, a few changes are going to have to happen here as I start a year of study and extra hours at work but before that happens I think there's time for a little celebration first. As this blog was inspired by my gratitude diary and recording "Three Beautiful Things" I thought a 3BT Third Birth day swap was the way to go and I am hoping you will join me for the party!
As this swap is all about threes, gratitude and beautiful things I thought it would be nice to send and receive three little envelopes, each containing three beautiful things...
:: A favourite recipe, one that makes you happy.
:: A photo, postcard, painting or drawing of something you find beautiful.
and finally
:: instructions of how to make something beautiful to keep.
(It could be a simple sewing pattern, a knitting or crochet pattern you enjoy or how to make a mosaic pot - anything goes...this is where you get to be all creative!)
All these things should be quick and easy, should fit in a small envelope and be cheap and simple to send. You can send the same three things to each person or something different if you are feeling adventurous. Please don't be super generous and enclose extras, I want it all to be fair and equal and sometimes it can be just as unsettling to receive too much as it is to receive nothing at all.
So, here is the plan...sign up in the comments or send me an email (mousybrownshouse at googlemail dot com) and I will pair you up with three other people (groups of four). As soon as I have a group of 4 I will email you to get your details and then pass them on to the people in your group. Sign ups will stay open until the end of September and envelopes should be sent by the end of October if possible. There is some SMALL PRINT you can read in last years post...I think all the points are still valid, just this year three of you will get me!
I am really looking forward to sharing some gratitude and you know how much I love snail mail, so I'm off to plan my three beautiful things now...hope you'll join me soon!
