Class started last week and my fingers haven't stopped since. The first weeks projects were a lovely and very useful needle-case, a decorated vest top and the centre medallion of our class quilt. I haven't tackled the t-shirt yet but the other two are completed and I have learnt lots of useful techniques. The theme of the first week was reverse applique and as you can see this features in both of the pieces above...the needle-case was a simple make and a true joy, the medallion was a real challenge to my limited quilting experience and pushed me way outside my safety zone but managing to complete it felt amazing and I can't wait to get started on next weeks embroidery task...
Hand quilting of my PJ quilt is going well and I am hoping to have it finished before I go away at the end of next week, keep your fingers crossed for some nice weather and I'll be back with some photos soon!
