The return to school has resulted in the usual coughs and sniffles, so I was excited to see a tutorial for homemade elderberry tincture on LuSa organics blog recently. An hour gathering berries yesterday and a little time processing them today has resulted in two mason jars of mixture sitting in my cupboard. A few weeks patience and then I will be able to start using the resulting tincture to boost our immune systems. Feels lovely and just a bit magical to be doing something natural and taking a little control back from the doctors. Do you have any simple, natural remedies that are part of your medicine cabinet?..if so I'd love to know!
On a completely different subject, a big thank you to all of you who have already signed up for the swap, I can't wait to see what you all come up with! If you are hesitating, please come and join in, it will be loads of fun and is open to everyone...(for those of you in the US who I have put off with the mention of A4 envelopes - it is just an envelope of approx. 8" x 12" but nobody will get in trouble if they break the rules a bit!)
