Thank you everyone for your patience, I really didn't mean to disappear for so long. I had intended to do this post on Tuesday once Valarie had been safely deposited at the airport but the excitement and adrenaline that had had kept me going since Christmas suddenly departed and I have spent every spare moment I could find over the last few days curled up asleep in my bed!
I don't know where to start with catching up, so many good things have been packed into the last couple of weeks. Sam's birthday party with all our favourite people was lovely as always and ended with the most chocolaty, chocolate cake I could design (the last of four I ended up baking for this particular birthday boy!)
My party at Fibre and Clay was the most wonderful day, packed full of friends, coffee, laughter, cake, crochet and lots and lots of yarn!
I had asked all my friends to make me a crochet square and now I am planning to make them into a framed piece to hang on my wall so I can remember this day forever. All of us tied together with yarn and crochet....you can almost hear the laughter as you look at it.
Now I have a big confession to make....I didn't take ANY photo's while Valarie was here. We talked and talked and discovered more and more things in common, we explored a bit and spent time by the fire, we walked with Snap and we knitted together, we packed years of friendship into five short days and even spent one evening on the sofa singing along together to Glee! I cannot describe how special it was to get together with a friend I had never met and to discover that we got on like we had known each other all our lives. I know that Valarie was a bit better at remembering her camera than me so I am hoping she might be able to make up for my sad lack in this department....
.......I'll keep an eye out when she lands and will let you know if there is anything to see!
