I have had to restrain myself...I could have gone on taking photos and adding photos to this post forever...I don't think I'll ever be able to capture the real beauty and depth of colour of this yarn and I don't think I'll ever get sick of trying!
My Charlotte's Web shawl purchased as a kit from Tall Yarns at Woolfest last year, finally made it off the needles this weekend and I was lucky enough to find a few warm sunny hours to block it and dry it despite the forecast of rain.
It has been a project I have picked up and put down...a few times I wanted to give up altogether. It was just too complicated a knit for me to be able to sit and do while talking to anyone else or to take to work and because of that the number of hours available to knit it have been limited. But I am so glad I kept going (and yes Emma, I am glad you nagged me not to give up!) as the end result is stunning and I can't quite believe I did it all by myself!
Always a sucker for punishment I have started another Woolfest project (this one from 2011!) that has seemed a bit scary and with the support of the talented knitters taking part in Leigh's KAL I am hoping to get that one finished too...if I keep on like this I really will have to start stocking up on yarn again!
Edited to add...you can find out more about my KAL plans if you visit here...
