I have been postponing this post in the hope that Typepad will discover what has gone wrong with my blog display but as it is now into it's second week with no progress on that front, I decided to just get going and hope that you will ignore the problems...
I finally made something else from my Alabama Stitch book (those of you that have been reading for a while might remember this?). This little sewing tidy was a joy to make and with a few changes to the original pattern, made use of a couple of t-shirts that my now 11 year old can't fit into!
It is weighted with rice and hangs safely on the arm of my chair, keeping track of all those bit and bobs that I usually can't find. It was a nice portable project, just what I need in these days of to-ing and fro-ing from school and was uncomplicated enough that I could stitch and talk at the same time - always a bonus!
I am now considering a bigger project from the book...maybe a skirt? But don't hold your breath as I am averaging a project every two years at the moment, slow stitching indeed...
