One of the casualties of this years accidents and illnesses and just change in circumstances of all involved, was my annual get together to make a Christmas wreath. I have been trying to persuade myself that that was ok and had been feeling fairly convinced but then I saw this post on Soulemama and suddenly a simple solution became apparent.
I gathered the materials from the garden this morning and despite gale force winds and heavy skies I soon had two bundles of winter greenery with which to decorate our doors. The mixture is made up of traditional holly and ivy, both with berries and a bit of fragrant evergreen. The dyed raffia I already had for wrapping presents and although I missed the slow process, with chatter and coffee that this event usually includes, I am happy for this year, that this is a perfect answer. The tutorial for a traditional wreath is still on my sidebar if your December is going a little more to plan or if not why not try the simplified version for yourself?
