These are my 'new' bathroom curtains and they fill my soul with happiness.
They were made before Easter in a flurry of creativeness inspired by my quilt and bag. The joy of using some of the beautiful vintage fabrics I have collected over the years in new and exciting ways is rather addictive and I already have plans for lots of other projects.
The white fabric with blue flowers was a pillowcase that I cut open into two equal sized panels. The beautiful drawn thread-work was part of a tablecloth that I bought as a fabric scrap at a charity shop. It had already been cut up but was so beautiful that I knew I would find a welcome home for it eventually.
I like the asymmetrical way they turned out and the way the light shines through them into the room. I have always treasured these old scraps of linen and lace, found over the years but I have never found an ideal way to use them and enjoy them on a day to day basis.
Now I have the perfect answer and little examples are springing up all over the place.....
